Occupation: Food Explorer?

I've been absolutely hooked to National Geographic lately.

Was reading some articles on their website, and came across this one article about a 26-year-old photographer who is a Young Explorer grantee, with a focus on tropical conservation.

Its so exciting that “explorer” is still a real profession! For the longest time when I thought of explorer I only thought of the old worldly Columbuses and Vasco Degamas…

Imagine…

Food explorer: traveling the world, exploring the various historical, cultural, socio economic facets of food. The what’s and why’s of food cultures; the lost nuances, the forgotten stories, the unexplored cuisines!

What a job!

  3. Food explorer definitely could be the next big thing in culinary world, beyond photographers and critics it could be another liberation to some very creative minds with the pan.Since I too am in my freshman year for culinary arts, i keep thinking about some wired combinations in this field.
A passion driven field like this can have enormous permutations and combinations and its important that chefs of tomorrow like us are not hesitant in such adventures :)
I read through your articles and i hope your internships are a great start to your journey with the food :)
Keep Blogging and Keep cooking it, eating it, and feeding it to people :P :D
