Critics at the Restaurant!

Today was our second week of operations at the BHM Restaurant, and we had the pleasure of serving 10 very special guests from the Foodiesin Bangalore 2 club. Among them were restaurateurs, food writers and members of the Bangalore food community.

For those of you who don’t know, the Foodies in Bangalore 2 are a Facebook group that connects chefs, restaurateurs, food writers and bloggers, and genuinely passionate food enthusiasts of Bangalore City. They come together to explore the food scenario in the city, sharing their reviews and opinions, their work, and having discussions on the forum. It is a highly renowned circuit.

The group came to dine, and even ordered a few extra portions of the mains so that they could all try the variety on our menu.

Menu for today's lunch

It was exciting -- and humbling -- to have guests with such knowledge and experience with food coming all the way to sample and review our food and service! A fellow student from our kitchen team described our menu to them, following which they had their meal.

Towards the end of their meal, I got a chance to interact with them to get their feedback on the food and their experience. They were appreciative, yet honest, giving us constructive criticisms and feedback on where and how we could improve. They congratulated us for our efforts, and it meant a lot to have the support and encouragement from people as well versed in the food scenario as them.
